How we got started with shungite
One of our founders, raised near the Shunga village, grew up around the legendary shungite mines known for their healing properties. Despite the Soviet ban on alternative treatments, the villagers, including his grandmother, frequently used shungite-infused water for its curative powers. Deeply influenced by these experiences and backed by scientific research, he later established a workshop with a friend. Starting with basic shungite items, they now craft a diverse range of products, from spheres to intricate designs, celebrating the stone's remarkable benefits.

Shungite and its properties
Shungite
Shungite is a black mineral (93-98% carbon) named after the village of Shunga in Karelia where the majority of global deposits were discovered.
Metaphorization
Shungite is the result of metaphorization: organic sediments - sapropel - under compression and high temperature for 600 million years result in the characteristic globule-fullerenes found dispersed throughout the mineral structure of shungite.
Fullerenes
Fullerenes, unique carbon structures naturally shaped into spheres, remain stable unlike vitamins when neutralizing free radicals, safely binding them for natural elimination from the body.
Purification
Cleaning up free radicals formed during inflammatory processes is an essential role, as these highly aggressive free radicals, if left in the body, will degrade and damage healthy tissues.
Vitamins
Aqueous solutions of fullerenes are powerful antioxidants. Other antioxidants you may be familiar with include vitamin E and C - all of which help the body cope with free radicals.
Protection
Shungite perfectly protects the human body from the effects of electromagnetic radiation. Placing shungite in close proximity to an electrical source (e.g. Computer monitor) will significantly weaken the power of its emissions.
